Virginia's Light

Godrevy Head, Cornwall

Gallery: Cornwall

This being my first visit to Godrevy Lighthouse I was surprised by the number of huge rocks between the beach and where I needed to be. I spent a long while climbing over them, going back and forth, looking for a pleasing composition. After a couple of hours I finally found a spot that worked so I set about making the most of the sunset. The patch of orange behind the lighthouse quickly disappeared as large rainclouds moved in from the west, bringing with them rain.
