Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Zuiderkerk is a beautifully positioned old church in the Nieuwmarkt area of Amsterdam. At dusk the street lights come on and the church's tower is floodlit. For a brief period the remaining light in the sky balances with the lights on the streets and it all becomes very harmonious. That harmony was certainly something I felt while taking this picture as everything felt so civilised in the city.
