Prints of Somerset's Coastline

Although short, Somerset's coastline is varies greatly, from the flat beaches of Berrow and Brean, to the jagged rocky shores of Kilve and beyond.

The Bristol Channel, to which all of Somerset's beaches are connected, features the second largest tidal range in the world. This has a dramatic effect on the coastline, as the tide hides or reveals many rock formations, relics and remnants of times gone by. It also makes photography trecherous as an incoming tide can quickly cut off escape routes back to the shore.
