The area of Gunwalloe in Cornwall seems to have a rich history and it's certainly a photographic haven for the selection of coastal views, rock formations and caves on offer. This beach at Gunwalloe is known as Jangye-Ryn or Dollar Cove. The latter name is associated a Spanish ship named San Salvador which was laden with silver dollars and was wrecked here in 1669. My impression of the beach was of its ruggedness; the jagged rocks in the foreground emerged from a seemingly flat sea within 30 minutes as the tide retreated.
