As Clouds Go By
I started photographing Glastonbury Tor at night a few years ago. On clear evenings it's a great place to see the stars overhead. The expansive view of the sky somehow makes them feel closer. I'd had the idea for this picture after seeing other pictures of night skies with clouds scudding overhead. I had to wait for the right conditions though - south westerly winds and plenty of breaks in the cloud. I took this same picture several times as each time the pattern of cloud changed. Here, I particularly like the breaks in the top left and right of the frame.
