Finding the right kind of mist was the important part of the making of this photograph. I visited several times at different points in the year until I got the conditions I was looking for. Over that period I honed the composition to find a pleasing angle to capture many of the stones and their relating shapes. I found it interesting that many of the stones here lean in to each other, which I'm sure was an intentional feature of their design four and a half thousand years ago.
