Wrington's Blue Patch

This wood near the village of Wrington is one of Somerset's best bluebell spots. It's hard to find woodland in which bluebells grow unhindered by brambles, branches or other distractions but this is one such place. I visited it several times, waiting for the flowers to reach their peak and hoping to capture some fresh green beech leaves in the same scene. Some years the flowers peak before the beech leaves but this year the timing was right.

'Wrington's Blue Patch' is also available as a greeting card.
