Prints of Cheddar Gorge

Cheddar Gorge is an impressive limestone gorge on the Mendip Hills in Somerset. The B3135 road snakes through it, creating one of the most scenic and dramatic drives in southern Britain. It's a tourist hotspot, attracting thousands of visitors each year to its caves, walks and graded rock climbing routes.

I enjoy photographing Cheddar Gorge from high up, standing at the top of its cliffs where views stretch for miles towards the Quantock Hills and Exmoor. The dramatic rock faces of the gorge create a strong foreground interest, contrasting heavily with the much more gentle Somerset Levels in the distance.
