Sailor's Warning
I find driving to a location before sunrise an anxious experience. I watch the sky constantly, trying to guess what the light will be like and predict whether it will make for successful pictures. During the drive to West Bay on this morning I searched the sky, hoping for any amount of cloud. Some wispy high level clouds arced overhead, floating slowly southward and possibly too far out to sea. However, as I parked my car and reached the beach I was delighted to find their position was near perfect, poised just above East Cliff. With a while to wait I set up my camera and watched the beautiful warm light course through the clouds overhead.
