Mupe Rocks, Dorset

Tectonism

Probably the most dramatic section of the Dorset coastline is Mupe Bay, a rugged and less accessible section contained within the Lulworth military ranges. This picture is of Mupe Rocks, an area in one corner of the bay that features some dramatic rock ledges jutting out at 45 degree angles from the sea. All of these elements make this a tough location to photograph but the challenge can also produce amazing results. I captured this picture shortly after sunset when the tide was low, exposing all sorts of little pockets of wildlife in the rock pools.
