Blackdown Hills, Somerset

Amber Glasswork

Beeches are my favourite British tree, especially during autumn when their leaves turn brilliant hues of orange and yellow. The branches in this scene belonged to a majestic giant beech that was surrounded by conifers in a plantation. Its branches were coated in moss, making the tree appear to glow blue-gree against the backdrop of evergreens of the same colour. This dark canvas allowed the bright leaves of the beech tree to pop in a feast for my eyes.
