Monochrome images are very rare in my portfolio as it's often colour that attracts me to a scene. For this photograph I was interested in the soft light shining between the trees. I thought it would work in colour but when I saw the image on the computer I found that the intense greens of the trees was too much and that converting it to black and white allowed the quality of the light and textures of the trees to be appreciated.
