The row of Beech trees at Draycott Sleights features frequently in my portfolio of pictures. What appears to be the oldest group of the trees are those in this picture, which are far larger than others nearby. Their trunks look like the weathered hands of a fisherman or farmer, alluding to years of growth, change and decay. I'd love to know how old they are, or how many people have passed by them.
