Crook Peak, Somerset

A Giant's Delight

A perfect combination of mist on the Somerset Levels and a bank of cloud overhead made this one of the best mornings out at Crook Peak. It was just after dawn in the middle of summer, which always requires an uncomfortably early alarm call to be ready in time. It was warm and there was very little wind. I could hear the calls of all the birds waking up in the fields nearby. Mornings like this are nourishing for the senses in so many ways.
