Dapple and Dangle
The beautiful shapes created by the branches of these beech trees and the dappled light marking their trunks made for a perfect picture. This spot is quite high on the Quantock Hills so the trees often lose their leaves early in autumn due to the wind buffeting them. However, this year I felt very lucky to photograph them before the scene had lost its magic.
